Artist Statement
I traveled to The Yucatan Gulf of Mexico, Merida, and small fishing village in Chellem, Mexico . The light was ‚ mind-blowing‚ I painted small watercolors which worked well for travel. The people were so humble, resilient, and festive I tried to bring those qualities to my paintings. I also added a few larger paintings of Mexico in oils. Plus some from Cape Cod. And Portugal where I visited last November. Although different places they all are connected by the sea, food, heritage celebration if only!!!
